Tunisia-President Kais Saied approves decree on judges’ reshuffle

President Kaïes Saïed finally approved the presidential decree on the annual reshuffle of judges for the year 2019-2020.

This move followed the signing of a new state decree motivated by the ruling of the Supreme Judicial Council (CSM) which goes back to January 15, 2019.

The ultimate verdict was redrafted at the ultimate conclusion of the meeting held on December 16 at the Carthage Palace under the chairmanship of Saied. An official meeting which properly tried to recognise means to ensure the independence of the judiciary system and judges.
