The President of the Republic declared Tunisia’s readiness to dispatch a medical commission to assist the efforts of the Italian authorities, despite the modest means available in Tunisia because today situation concerns not only one country but the entire globe.
The Tunisian initiative to UN council was as also discussed during this conversation, as the UN Council must go beyond the conventional concept of international peace and security. The Italian President on his part embraced this initiative and expressed support for it.
The conversation also addressed the historical relationships between Tunisia and Italy and the possibility of extending them further by uncovering new ways for cooperation in all fields.
