Tunisia-President Kais Saied expresses solidarity with Iranian people in fight against coronavirus

President of the Republic Kais Saied had a telephone conversation with Iran president Hassan Rouhani in which he expressed sympathy and solidarity with the Iranian people amid the spread of COVID-19. Particularly since Iran has seen a large number of victims and people infected with Coronavirus.

The President of the Republic expressed his support and that of the Tunisian people for Iran in this ordeal that faces all humanity.
The two counterparts also discussed new approaches to deal with the pandemic in which the United Nations can unify as one

The Iranian President on his part highlighted the role that Tunisia could play in the UN Security Council as a non-permanent member. He also mentioned the necessity to strengthen relations between the Tunisian and Iranian peoples.

The two Presidents displayed their common determination to develop these relationships.
