Tunisia-President Kais Saied meets INAI President Imed Hazgui

President Kais Saied met President of the National Authority for Access to Information (French: INAI) Imed Hazgui at Carthage presidential palace.

During the meeting, Hazgui presented the Head of State with INAI’s first annual report.

President Saied stressed on the significance of the right to access information in the process of democratic construction and. He also stressed the essential related piece of legislation in disseminating the principles of transparency and accountability.

Hazgui announced this first annual report sketches the authority’s main activities aimed to strengthen the culture of access to information and uphold the anti-corruption and accountability principles.

Hazgui added that he had notified the President about hurdles on the way of promoting the culture of access to information.
