President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed welcomed Friday Secretary-General of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) Louise Mushikiwabo at Carthage presidential palace.
The meeting concentrated on preparations underway as Tunisia gears up to host the 18th summit programmed to be held in Djerba in November 2021.
The Head of State reemphasised Tunisia’s readiness to make a success of this event. The contribution of OIF member nations is likewise of paramount significance, he added.
On her part, Louise Mushikiwabo displayed satisfaction with the development of preparations for the Djerba Summit and hailed the essential role played by Tunisia, an OIF founding member, in scaling up cooperation within the francophone space.
