President Kais Saied received Minister of Foreign Affairs Noureddine Erray at Carthage presidential palace.
The meeting addressed mainly the draft resolution that will be presented by Tunisia to the United Nations Security Council on the adoption of a new approach to deal with COVID-19.
The meeting was also an occasion to address the matter of repatriation of the remaining Tunisians who are still stranded abroad
The Foreign Minister stated he notified President Kais Saied of the Security Council’s agenda and Tunisia’s contribution, as a non-permanent member, to advancing international cooperation and solidarity at this difficult time that humanity is enduring in the face of the spread of the pandemic.
The FM also informed the President of the Republic of the continuous efforts made by his department to mobilise more financial support for the benefit of the State and the health sector, particularly for the acquisition of medical equipment necessary for the fight against COVID-19.
