Tunisia-President Kaïs Saïed receives Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs

The President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed weclomed, Friday, July 30, 2021, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdallah Al Saoud, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs at Carthage presidentail palace.

The Saudi minister conveyed to the head of the state the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and of the Crown Prince, emphasising that Saudi Arabia respects the decisions taken by the President of the Republic while considering that the internal affairs of Tunisia are part of its sovereignty.

The Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed his nation’s confidence in the ability of the Tunisian leadership to surmount this situation in order to secure a life of dignity for the Tunisian people. He reemphasised Saudi Arabia’s support for Tunisia in all matters reporting to its security and stability in the face of the hurdles .

He additionally called on the international community to back Tunisia’s efforts in this challenging economic and health context.

For his part, the President of the Republic reiterated his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and to the Crown Prince for the overflow of solidarity with Tunisia in the face of the coronavirus, assuring that he remains committed to his responsibility in the protection of the ‘Tunisian State.
