President of the republic Kais Saied welcomed a delegation composed of MPs Amal Al Saidi,Anouar Ben Chahed,Samia Abbou ,Abdul Razzaq Ouidet,Leila Haddad,Mohamed Ammar,Monira Ayari,Najm ad-Din Ben Salem at Carthage presidential palace.
The MPs addressed the situation in the House of People representatives and the latest violence episode that occurred today, on this occasion the head of the state rejected all forms of violence especially in state institutions
During the meeting, they likewise discussed the necessity to approve the Finance Law in order not to resort to Article 66 of the Constitution.
In this context, the President of the Republic indicated that there is no place for extortion and trading off of the interests of the Tunisian people. He emphasised that Tunisia is our homeland and will remain above all circumstantial considerations and party affiliations, reaffirming the respect of legitimacy and law and facing all legal means available to anyone who seeks to overthrow the state.
He accentuated that whoever criminalizes the right of this homeland must assume its complete responsibility, adding that there is no excuse for anyone to stray from the law, which must be applied to everyone on an equal footing.
