Tunisia-President Kais Saied speaks with Abdelfattah Al Sissi

The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, spoke on the phone today, Thursday, July 8, 2021, with his Egyptian counterpart, Abdelfattah Al Sisi.
This call was a chance for the two heads of state to address a number of regional issues of common interest, foremost among which is the Renaissance dam issue at the level of the UN Security Council.
The head of the state reaffirmed Tunisia’s position on the necessity to continue direct negotiations between all the parties in order to attain a just and fair solution that preserves the rights of all the nations concerned and which in no way affects the national security of Egypt.
