Tunisia-President Kais Saied visits factory for medical gear in Kairouan

President Kais Saied visited a manufacturing unit for masks and medical gears in the industrial estate in Kairouan

The head of the state was briefed about the factory and its staff who entered into voluntary self-isolation since March 20 to produce the necessary medical and preventive supplies needed by medics and paramedics who are in the front line in fighting the coronavirus panic.

The factory director Momhaed Alouini briefed the president of the republic on the establishment operations and its products which were provided for the security and military institutions, emphasising the readiness of all its workers to contribute to supporting the efforts of the state in fighting the pandemic and provide the largest possible quantity of medical masks of the next period until life return to its normal rhythm.

He further hailed the effort of the man and women of this institute who have proven their capacity and their high national spirit.

He also stressed the need to put an end to speculations in the marketing of maks and protective gears
