Tunisia-President Kais Saied vowes to honour demands of the revolution

President Kais Saied honoured the Jasmine Revolution as he executed an unscheduled visit to Sidi Bouzid, where the first protests of Tunisia’s uprising exploded, sparking the Arab Spring movements.
In an official discourse in Sidi Bouzid on the official commemoration of the 9th anniversary of the outbreak of the Revolution, Kaïs Saïed swore heartily to adequately accommodate the diverse needs of the local citizens, “notwithstanding the stratagems and plots schemed every day,” reported the TAP Agency.

He positively asserted that some people aggravated crises to intentionally try to succeed theirs, indicating that there will be no place for defamation because the people instantly comprehended what they earnestly desire. Kaïs Saïed further regretted the tries to hold him accountable for the dysfunction of political institutions.

“I will assume complete responsibility, even if the state institutions do not operate correctly. The martyrs and sacrifices of the Tunisians will not be to no avail,” he said.

He assured the young people of the Sidi Bouzid to come back quickly to declare a range of projects that would generate jobs.
