Tunisia-President Kais Saied welcomes house speaker Rached Ghannouchi, discuss government formation and situation in Libya

President Kais Saied welcomed speaker of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) Rached Ghannouchi at Carthage Palace.
The meeting comes under the request of the head of state to discuss government formation.

The Head of State emphasised during the meeting the imperative obligation for the continuation of the State and the proper functioning of public services, Further, he asserted the significance of hastening efforts to rise from the state of indifference and inactivity in which the country is currently going through.

On his part, House speaker Ghannouchi expressed the parliament eagerness to observe the successful completion of the investiture session by the parliament of Habib Jelmi cabinet .

The meeting also discussed the Libyan file and its repercussions on the Tunisian situation.
