Tunisia-President Kais Saied:State is above all considerations and justice has to be done.

President Kaïs Saïed met, on Wednesday at the Carthage Palace, Prime Minister Elyes Fakhfakh, Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) Rached Ghannouchi and Secretary-General of the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT) Noureddine Tabboubi.

The Head of State announced at his meeting that he had received the resignation of the Prime Minister in the morning.

This meeting discussed ways to overcome the current political crisis, while ensuring that Tunisia’s supreme interest prevails, the Presidency said in a statement.

The Head of State stressed the need to resolve the problems in accordance with the Constitution, affirming the concern to avoid any conflict.

“The State is above all considerations and justice has to be done. It is out of question to injure the dignity of anyone,” he also insisted.
