Tunisia- President Mahmoud Abbas congratulates president-elect Kais Saied

President Mahmoud Abbas has promptly sent a cable to President-elect Kais Saied, properly expressing heartfelt congratulations on his election as president of Tunisia.

Abbas displayed exceptional pride in the historical brotherly relations between the two countries. He further expressed his mutual support to the people of Tunisia who embraced Palestinians and their lifelong struggle in various stages, a support which will expand tremendously and strengthen under tSaied, emphasising the direct continuation of joint work and necessary coordination.
On his part, President-elect Kais Saied said that support for the Palestinian cause will undoubtedly continue and will stay as a top priority, he further stressed enough that support for the Palestinian cause will be open and endless until justice is achieved for Palestine and its people.
Said also emphasized joint coordination in all international panels to steadfastly support Palestinian rights.
