Tunisia-President Saïed: A deputy obtained 1,500 million dinars

The president of the republic, Kaïs Saïed, confirmed, this Thursday, September 2, during his meeting with Ibrahim Bouderbela, President of the Bar, Bechir Laâbidi, Secretary-General of the Tunisian League for Human Rights (LTDH) and his Vice-President Bassem Trifi that an MP deputy in Parliament, received the sum of 1,500 million dinars, when he held office in the state, adding that the latter registered his property in the name of his wife.
He pointed out that this MP owns real estate and estates in luxurious locations in Tunisia, which he registered in his wife’s name.
In the same sense, the head of state said he did not desire to give the names, currently. “Let them be sure that I will mention them and that this exploited money will return to the people,” he maintained.
