During this interview, the Head of State voiced Tunisia’s concern to keep links with Italy strong. Saïed remarked that the policies for managing the phenomenon of immigration have attained their limits and that new common approaches need to be found capable of encouraging regular migration according to mechanisms that ensure the rights of candidates.
In addition, the President of the Republic called for a quick solution to the Italian waste affair in Tunisia soon and to create a joint program between the two nations in the field of transforming waste into an energy source.
