Tunisia-President Saied: It is important to form a government but …

The President of the Republic, Kais Saied, welcomed this Tuesday, September 14, 2021, lawyers, Sadok Belaid, Mohamed Salah Ben Aissa and Amine Mahfoudh at Carthage palace.

 

The meeting concentrated on the political situation in the country. On this occasion, the heaf of the state reaffirmed that it is important to form a new government, but that it is additionally essential to design the policy that this government will adopt to serve the Tunisian people.

The Head of State also reiterated his commitment to respect rights and freedoms as well as his determination to continue the path that the people have mapped out, according to their will.

 

He, on the other hand, indicated that some parties allege that there have been abuses with the intention of defaming him in this situation in which he is committed to saving the State, according to the press release from the presidency of the Republic.
