President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, welcomed, on Tuesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nabil Ammar.
The meeting focused on the completion of the movement of ambassadors and consuls.
Saïed, for this purpose, insisted on the vital role of the consuls, with regard to services to Tunian aborad. He called for shortening the deadlines for granting passports and other official documents, specifying that it is inadmissible that a Tunisian residing abroad should be forced to wait months to obtain a document such as a simple extract of birth, or to retrieve their passport. He called for improved coordination between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and of the Interior to short the deadline.
