Tunisia-President Saied meets PM Hachani

President Kais Saied discussed the overall progress of government activities during his meeting with Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani. He emphasized the need for coherence in government work, stating that the government’s role is to assist the President in performing executive functions. President Saied stressed the significance of public administration aligning with the historical turning point in the country.

He expressed that those who obstruct citizens’ affairs without justification are not worthy of bearing responsibility. The President called for competent individuals within the administration to replace those lacking a sense of responsibility. He emphasized the importance of citizens viewing the State as the sum of public facilities and noted that anyone hindering its normal functioning undermines national security and citizens’ rights.

President Saied underscored the historical moment Tunisia is experiencing and the need for officials, regardless of their level of responsibility, to set an example in terms of modesty, austerity, and self-denial. He emphasized relying on Tunisia’s intrinsic capabilities and building the nation through the efforts of its people, rather than relying on external forces or following recipes dictated by those seeking guardianship.
