President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed met with Prime Minister Najla Bouden-Romadhane, Justice Minister Leila Jaffel and Interior Minister Taoufik Charfeddine at Carthage Palace
The meeting concentrated on the current situation of the public service of justice, especially the length of trials and the impunity enjoyed by several people.
President Kaïs Saïed examined with the prime minister Bouden and the two ministers many cases that are currently in the hands of the judiciary and which have not yet been determined.
President Kaïs Saïed emphasised that the judiciary can in no way substitute the role of the legislator, reaffirming the crucial to “clean up” the judiciary sector.
