In a telephone call with his French counterpart Emmanual Marcon, President Kais Saïed regretted France’s decision to reduce the number of visas granted to Tunisians. The head of the state added that the new Tunisian government will take a new approach in the battle against illegal immigration.
In response, Marcon said that this measure could be amended. Macron reemphasised his country’s support for Tunisia in the area of health and the economy. For his part, Mr Saïed said the pandemic situation in the country is improving, thanks to the efforts of the state and the support of several friendly nations.
