Tunisia-President Saied speaks by phone with Mauritania president Mohamed Ould Ghazouani

President Kais Saied, on Tuesday, spoke by phone to Mauritania president Mohamed Ould Ghazouani about the two countries general situation as well as the world.
The conversation stressed that the approach adopted to fight the coronavirus might be regional at the first stage then global as nations need to unite to fight the pandemic.
Mauritania president expressed his country readiness to support Tunisia initiative in the UN security council.
The conversation also shed light on the exceptional historical relationships between Tunisia and Mauritania. In this context, Ghazouani mentioned that Tunisia is the first country to recognize the independence of Mauritania.

For his part, the Head of State commended the firm and distinguished relations between the two countries in diverse fields. The two counterparts expressed their eagerness to work further to elevate these relations to meet the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.

The two presidents extended invitations to visit their respective countries.
