Tunisia-President Saïed to Macron: I will convey soon the roadmap for the coming period

The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, spoke on the phone on Saturday, August 7, 2021, with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, the Elysee said in a statement.
Macron assured his counterpart that France stands alongside Tunisia and its people at this pivotal moment for its sovereignty and freedom. Macron expressed hope that Tunisia would quickly be capable to respond to the economic, social and health challenges it encounters.
He recalled that Tunisia could count on the support of France to meet all of these challenges. President Kaïs Saied said he is committed to responding to emergencies.
He stated he would quickly make his roadmap known for the coming period and proceed to give full weight to popular legitimacy.
The two heads of state have agreed to speak to each other again soon.
