Tunisia – President Saïed: We are going to move from a constitution that would implode the state to a constitution that will reflect the will of the people

Speaking during his presidency of the ministerial council on Thursday, President of the republic Kaïs Saïed addressed the question of the constitution of a consultative body for a new Republic.

He clarified that it will bring together specialists from diverse backgrounds who will draw up, based on the results of the online consultation, the outline of a new constitution which will be presented for the approval of the people by referendum.

He added that Tunisia will therefore move from a constitution that threatened to implode the state, to a constitution that will truly reflect the will of the people.
