Tunisia-President Saied:We are in a Race against time

The President of the Republic, Kais Saied paid a visit to the field hospital under construction in the governorate of Manouba today, July 19, 2021, accompanied by the Moroccan ambassador to Tunisia.

During the visit, the head of the state felicitated the Tunisian people and the Muslim world on the occasion of Aid-Adha. In addition, he hailed the contribution of all friendly and brotherly nations for medical donations and oxygen resupply in the context of this crisis. “We are not racing against anyone, we are racing against time …. Rest assured dear Tunisians, we will be the victors ” he declared.

He further praised Tunisian civil society for their “citizenship”, affirmed that he talked with scouts as well as members of associations. He comforted Tunisians about the oxygen shortage, specifying the establishment of bridges with many countries such as Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and many others to provide our country with quantities of oxygen.

“The issue of oxygen and oxygen concentrators will be fixed in the next days,” he said. In addition, he praised the security and military forces for the distribution of oxygen in the different regions.
