Tunisia-Presidents Kais Saied and Palestinian counterpart discuss situation in occupied Palestinian territories

President of the Republic Kais Saied, Sunday, spoke over the phone with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
The call focused on the latest developments in occupied Palestine and violations of the rights of disarmed Palestinians.
The head of the state expressed Tunisia’s solid position in favour of the just Palestinian cause and its denunciation of the proceeded attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque as well as its expansionist policy and annexation plans, expressing Tunisia’s support with the valiant Palestinian people.
Tunisia, in its capacity as an Arab member of the Security Council, will spare no effort to support the Palestinian cause within regional and international authorities, he emphasized.
President Saied has asked for a meeting of the Security Council to discuss the serious escalation and violence committed by the occupation forces in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Palestinian President notified Saied regarding the abuses perpetrated by the occupation authorities against the Palestinians.
He commended Tunisia’s stance in favour of the rights of Palestine and called for forming a delegation whose mission will be to hold contact with many influential states.
