Tunisia-Price estimated at 35 dinars per kilogram.. When will imported meat be available in markets [Video]

In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, today, Thursday, March 14, 2024, the head of the National Chamber of Butchers, Ahmed Amiri, noted that the Chamber is in the process of carrying out the final arrangements with the Ministry of Trade and the Meat Company concerning the imported meat.

Amiri added that the first shipments will arrive on March 25th and include two containers of imported refrigerated meat, each containing about 17 tons, and distribution of these quantities to all butchers under the room will start on the 26th of this month.

Our speaker underlined that the distribution process will be regulated and monitored by various parties and that diverse details will be available on the official website of the Regional Union and the Trade Administration.

He reiterated that the selling price will be around 35,600 millimes per kilogram, underscoring  that the quality of this meat is excellent.
