Tunisia-Prices of Medicine on the rise

In addition to the unprecedented increase in food prices, Tunisians are now confronted with an unparalleled rise in the price of medicines, Assabah newspaper reported
Among the drugs hit by the price increase, are the ones employed in the treatment of several chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, according to the same source.
This rise in prices would be due largely to the fall of the Tunisian dinar, it should be noted that drugs produced in Tunisia (generics or products under licenses) are often produced from imported raw materials. Other factors relate to shutting down the borders of certain countries, as well as the financial difficulties that the central pharmacy has been experiencing in recent years, not to mention the corruption and the weak budget of the ministry of health …
