Prime Minister Youssef Chahed called for hastening the formation process of the new government which msut proffer the
uppermost priority to critical economic concerns, in addition to securing necessary reforms and improving the social situation.
Speaking on Thursday at the launch ceremony of the non-bank financing support program to SMEs “Investia Enterprise,” Chahed positively asserted that the official establishment of the new government demands a “rational” and “realistic” path based on figures and key indicators, in addition to the proper maintenance of the reform process.
Chahed indicated that “the Tunisian economy had outperformed the severe threshold as testified to by several “clear and positive indicators.”
The PM also called on foreign and Tunisian investors to support investments in Tunisia, recalling that his government has led the country in a difficult environment, including the four terrorist attacks perpetrated in 2015, in addition to the budget deficit rate, which reached nearly 7% and the low growth not exceeding 1%.
