The investigating judge at the Court of First Instance of Tunis issued a prison warrant against journalist Mohamed Boughalleb today, Friday, under an order issued against him under the provisions of Decree No. 54.
The court spokesperson confirmed that the prosecution had authorized the opening of an investigation against journalist Mohamed Boughalleb. This investigation was initiated following a complaint filed against him by a university professor, alleging insults against others.
The official spokesperson for the Tunis Court of First Instance added that the investigating judge had issued last Tuesday a release from prison ticket for questioning Boughalleb, but he noted the impossibility of appearing before the investigating judge due to his state of health. The judge decided to delay his interrogation and to subject him to the required medical examinations, which subsequently proved that he could be heard by the investigating judge.
