Tunisia-Private sector: Towards increasing retirement age

In a radio statement, Minister of Social Affairs Malek Zahi reported that the retirement age regime of 62 will be extended to the private sector as soon as a decree is published in the JORT. The voluntary increase in the retirement age, after a deal with the employer, will be applied with retroactive effect from January 2024. “The purpose of this measure is to unify social security systems” adds the Minister of Social Affairs.
