Trade unionist Mohamed Chakroun, a prominent figure of the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT) passed away this morning of Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
The declaration was made today by the trade union on its official Facebook page.
The late Chakroun was a leading activist in the UGTT. He worked as secretary-general of the Tunis Regional Union and was one of the leaders of the labour union during the Black Thursday clashes on January 26, 1978.
