Tunisia-Protest at Av. Habib Bourguiba: Ministry of the Interior reveals the number of participants

The Interior Ministry revealed that despite the decision to ban traffic on Avenue Habib Bourguiba taken by the Governor of Tunis, a group of people not surpassing 400 organized a protest this morning in front of the municipal theatre of Tunis and disrupted traffic at the level of the avenue.

The ministry has strengthened the security presence in order to safeguard citizens and facilitate the fluidity of traffic, the same press release reported. It should be mentioned that the Governor of Tunis had asserted that Avenue Habib Bourguiba is now dedicated to cultural events and that political and social events will be authorized in public squares located along with Avenue Mohamed 5.
