Tunisia has continued, since last December, to witness a rate of demonstrations, protests and even violence.
In this context that US Embassy in Tunisia called on its nationals to avoid crowds.
“U.S. citizens in Tunisia are encouraged to review the Department of State travel advisory for Tunisia due to recent demonstrations throughout the country, primarily in downtown Tunis,” reads a statement by the U.S embassy.
“The Department of State’s travel advisory for Tunisia recommends that U.S. citizens avoid demonstrations and crowds, monitor local media for breaking events, and be prepared to adjust travel plans,” adds the same source.
