A presidential decree relating to the health pass against the coronavirus was issued this Friday in the JORT.
The health pass will be given to any Tunisian or resident in Tunisia aged 18 and over, who have completed their vaccination schedule.
This pass can additionally be allocated to people who have not reached the age of 18 and who are fully vaccinated, in addition to foreigners arriving in Tunisia and Tunisians with a vaccination certificate issued by foreign countries.
The decree also mentions that any person of Tunisian nationality subject to the provisions of this decree-law, need to submit the vaccination pass when leaving Tunisian territory from the various land, sea and air border posts.
In addition, article 6 states that Failure to present the vaccine pass entails the suspension of the exercise of functions for State staff, local authorities and public bodies, companies and establishments, and the employment contract for workers of the private sector, and this, until the presentation of the vaccination pass.
The duration of suspension of the exercise of functions and of the employment contract is not remunerated.
