Tunisia-Qaraqaba: “Tunisian Red Crescent allocated monthly grant to Palestinian students for period of 6 months, renewable” [Video]

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, the official spokeswoman for the Tunisian Red Crescent Bothaina Qaraqba confirmed today that the support for Palestinian students in Tunisia has continued since this initiative was announced, and a considerable budget has been assigned by the Tunisian Red Crescent to the task of supporting and reinforcing the steadfastness of Palestinian students.
Our speaker pointed out that since the start of the war, there have been several Palestinian students who have been cut off from their families and are no longer able to obtain financial transfers. Work has been done to supply psychological and health care for a number of them and provide food supplies as well, and continued coordination is taking place with the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Tunisia. In addition to making a call for donations to the Palestinian Student Fund, a scholarship was allocated to Palestinian students from this fund for one month, and then the Red Crescent sponsored them through cards…
She added that a substantial number of them went to the offices of the Tunisian Red Crescent and received their card, and this process is still ongoing. In the same context, she called on those Palestinian students who did not receive this card to go to the Tunisian Red Crescent Center in Maqrin to obtain it.
The spokeswoman clarified that, in this context, coordination had been made with the Tunisian Post and the Palestinian students were provided with postcards that included a monthly grant of 400 dinars for 6 months, renewable according to the situation.
