Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) and Ennahda party leader Rached Ghannouchi received Russia Ambassador to Tunisia Sergey Nikolaev at Bardo palace.During the meeting, Ghannouchi suggested the abolishing of visas to Russia.
Ghannouchi hailed the role of Russia in supporting the Tunisian revolution, he called to strengthen bilateral collaboration in diverse areas, particularly in the tourism sector, notably as the number of Russian tourists witnessed an increase last year.
He also called to employ parliamentary Relations through bilateral cooperation by establishing a Tunisian-Russian friendship association. He further stressed the need to develop legislative framework tostrengthen trade and increase the level of exports.
On his part, Russia ambassador Nikolaev reaffirmed the depth of the relationship between the two countries, invoking Russia’s wish to further solidify bilateral cooperation on different levels.
Regarding Libya, the Russian ambassador stressed the convergence of views between the two countries and the need to resume dialogue under the umbrella of the united nations.
