Ennahdha will not have the same fate as Nidaa Tounes”, House speaker its president Rached Ghannouchi.
In an interview on the evening of Sunday, November 8, 2020 with the Watania, Ghannouchi assured that he does not intend to run for president of Ennahdha or any other presidency.
In this sense, he indicated that the tensions observed within his party are natural and can take place in every Tunisian political party, emphasising to this end that the Ennahdha movement will not suffer the fate of Nidaa Tounes.
Rached Ghannouchi confirmed that “the source of legitimacy of the Ennahdha movement comes from its members and not from the media”, insisting that he did not call for the postponement of the party congress.
