Democrat nominee Joe Biden’s win of US election is a “positive message” to democracy in the world, Parliament Speaker Rachid Ghannouchi told Watania.
“US support for Tunisia is a state policy, not a partisan policy. The US supports democratic transition,” he added.
He said Tunisia has obtained a strategic position after its engagement in the Libyan crisis. “There is a race for Libya, not by tanks but by companies, where Tunisia will be a starting point for these companies to rebuild Libya and this serves Tunisia’s interest,” he said.
He continued, “the presence of Democrats is obviously better and will enhance this crisis-solving approach” towards Libya.
