Tunisia-Rached Ghannouchi: Parliament is still in place

Ennahdha leader Rached Ghannouchi said that his party is ready for all sacrifices to rescue Tunisia, the people and the State as they did during the 2013 crisis. He added that the general tendency in the country currently tends to restore democracy and oppose the coup. Ghannouchi revealed that Tunisia has been in hardship since July 25, 2021, coinciding with the announcement of exceptional measures by the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, including the dissolution of Parliament, the dissolution of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSM), the publication of multiple presidential decrees and the organization of early elections.

In the same vein, he specified that “MPs” who partook in the plenary session of March 30, 2022, will organize other sessions in the coming days, emphasising that Parliament is still in place.
