Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) and Ennahdha party leader Rached Ghannouchi cordially welcomed a commission from the World Movement for Democracy headed by its executive chief Ryota Jonen at Bardo palace.
During their official meeting, Jonen invited house speaker Ghannouchi to deliver the inaugural speech of the 2020 World Forum for Democracy set for next year.The two counterparts further discussed the World Movement for Democracy activities, some of whose bodies are based in Tunisia.
Ghannouchi prominently displayed his deep appreciation for the movement effort in spreading the culture of democracy around the globe including the Arab world. He further noted that Tunisia’s transition to democracy attested to the probability of establishing an Arab democracy.
