Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) and Ennahdha party leader Rached Ghannouchi cordially welcomed official delegates of university graduates from Kasserine, who have been staging a sit-in at Bardo Square for approximately one month.
Ghannouchi carefully attended to the demonstrators‘ principal objections and affairs. The latter requested jobs and their region‘s fundamental right to economic advancement. They inquired eagerly for quick intervention. The House Speaker stated he properly understood the young men needs, emphasising the imperative necessity to sincerely devote particular attention to the less developed regions, first and foremost the governorate of Kasserine.
He also asserted a commitment to pay particular consideration to this issue and to observe it closely with elected deputies representing the region and with the next government, as soon as it takes office.
