Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR), Rached Ghannouchi, stressed that the Palestinian cause has a symbolism rooted in the belief of the Islamic nation, as the cause of a people struggling to regain freedom and right to autonomy and state-building with Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital.
The Middle East will continue to be in trouble until the Palestinian people succeed in regaining their right, liberating their land and building their State.
In an address delivered within the framework of his participation in the 15th session of the conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Member States of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC), held in Ouagadougou, Rached Ghannouchi said that the troubles and conflicts experienced by the Arab countries require exerting efforts to reach peaceful solutions and achieve full national reconciliations capable of unifying nations.
He also addressed the issue of terrorism as one of the challenges facing the Islamic nation and. “Tunisia, like other Islamic countries, has faced this destructive scourge and, thanks to the unity of its people, together with the armed forces, has succeeded in eradicating terrorism. It is the duty of all to continue to dry up the sources of terrorism in order to anchor the values of tolerance, peace and moderation,” he said.
