The investigating judge at the Permanent Military Court of First Instance of Tunis auditioned, this Friday, April 23, 2021, MP Rached Khiari, Mosaique FM reported.
Khiari is accused of targeting the military institution, its organization and of criticizing the general command of the army with the aim of harming national defence. He is additionally being prosecuted for attacking the internal security of the state by inciting citizens to dispute and carrying weapons. The MP is charged with contacts with agents of foreign nations with the aim of harming the Tunisian state and its military force.
All charges were brought based on Articles of Law 91 of the Military Penal Code and on the basis of Articles 60, 61, 68 and Article 72 of the Criminal Code.
