The spokesman of the Court of First Instance spokesman Mohsen Dali announced that the prosecution has referred the case of MP Rached Khiari to the security unit responsible for investigating the funding of electoral campaigns from the beginning of the month, including the campaign of President Kais Saied.
Dali likewise said the prosecution is bound to examining campaign finance based on official reports, emphasising that the security unit has been tasked since April 8, 2021, with looking for a campaign finance breach.
He added that Khiari was convoked by the military justice to examine the proof available to him.
