Rached Khiari has been in a severe state of health for weeks and has been deprived of medical treatment, his attorney Lamia Farhani announced.
“I was visiting Rached Khiari at the detention centre in Mornaguia (…) He had not been moved to Charles Nicole Hospital for treatment scheduled last Friday, as was recommended by the head of the dermatology department at the Charles Nicole Hospital. After carrying out the required examinations, the doctor confirmed that Rached suffered from a benign cancerous tumour which could turn into a malignant cancerous tumour if he does not receive special injections every 10 days,” she confirmed.
Remark that Khiari will appear this Tuesday, January 17, 2023, before the military court judge in Tunis.
