Economics expert Taoufik Rajhi, published, this Sunday, on his Facebook page, a post, to caution that one should not be carried away by the deal concluded with the IMF, in regard to the release of a credit.
He clarified that neither the agreement nor the sum granted is an end in itself. And that Tunisia has, in the past, pocketed similar or even more significant sums, but has not been able to take advantage of it, to begin the essential reforms.
Rajhi added that the terms of the agreement are now clear. The administration will have to execute the needed reforms and above all, comply with them. He explained that a police officer now controls the government’s actions and the degree of respect he will grant the conditions of the agreement.
It is now a question, according to him, to apply and follow the letter, the instructions and the execution of the reforms. Because this is what will depend on the release of the various deadlines of this credit.
