Tunisia-Ramadan: ministry offers discounts on 87 products

The Director General of Competition and Economic Research, Houssem Eddine Touiti, reported this Thursday, March 7 to the media that a first wave of 87 products was selected to apply reductions varying from 3 to 34% in supermarkets. He added that automatic deductions have been validated by the profession for non-subsidized products, in particular foodstuffs.

Touiti made the statements during a press conference at the Ministry of Trade and Export Development. Furthermore, he revealed that price control measures were taken to control inflation and improve the purchasing power of consumers during the holy month of Ramadan.
