Tunisia-Rapid tests only detect infections during the first Four days

The scientific council for the fight against the coronavirus emphasised on Monday that rapid tests can only identify COVID-19  COVID-19 in the first four days of infection.

During a hearing held in parliament by the Tunisians Abroad Commission, the delegation representing the scientific committee pointed out that Tunisia currently has 150,000 rapid tests which are employed at certain points of land crossing and at Tunis Carthage airport adding that other quantities will be shipped shortly.

The Council further emphasised that the use of these tests is restricted to symptomatic people during the first four days of their infection.
