Tunisia-Ras Jedir: Libyan ambulances still banned: Libyans denounce

Libyans condemned that Libyan ambulances are still banned from accessing Tunisian territory at the Ras Jedir crossing border post (Medenine governorate).
The Tunisian authorities have decided to make entry into Tunisian territory dependent on receiving authorization from the Ministry of Health mentioning the health establishment which will take care of the patient’s accommodation. A decision that provoked ambulance drivers with its consequences on wait times. The latter considered that such provisions are opposed to the bilateral agreement concluded between Tunisia and Libya on September 15.
For its part, the Ministry of Health has not changed its decision despite the multiple meetings organized for this purpose between the two parties.
The director of preventive health in Medenine Zaid El Anz estimated that at the moment the security aspect prevails, consequently, this decision comes two weeks after the date of entry into force of the new health protocol.
Recall that said protocol demands, among other things, the presentation of a negative PCR test carried out for 72 hours, a vaccination certificate and a document confirming that the patient will be accommodated in a Tunisian health establishment.
